Jane has lived in the village of Ebberston for over twenty years. At present she is an elected member of Ryedale District Council and divides her time between family, council work and various voluntary organisations. These  include: Ryedale Special Families, Ryedale Voluntary Action, Thornton Dale Playing Field Association and Ryedale Festival. Jane is also a Governor of Springhead School.

Jane is married to Jonathon. They have three children who are all attending College / University at present. Jane’s eldest son, William, is disabled and it is because of this that she became involved with Ryedale Special Families and Springhead School.

Jane enjoys painting and restoring their home at Ebberston Hall, where she can often be seen wearing overalls and hanging dangerously from scaffolding. Jane’s other hobbies include gardening, wine and music.
