Robert Adamson
Robert is a former Civil Servant and Carer. He trained Fire Service Officers, Civil Service Managers and Managers from Local Authorities and the Emergency Services. He has been an author and has produced award winning training videos.
He has considerable experience of public speaking and has often been interviewed for television and radio.
He retired in 1996 to spend more time with his second wife Rosemary who had Multiple Sclerosis and has since died.
Robert is now married to Eileen whom he met in 2000. They married in 2006 on "The Maid of the Loch" tethered at Loch Lomond.
He has 2 adult daughters from his first marriage. Robert is a wheelchair user and has an understandable interest in disability issues, particularly MS, as an ex-carer and also having the disease himself.
Until 2005 he was a Trustee of the MS Society and is now on the committee of the Hambleton & Richmondshire branch. He tries to prove that people with disabilities can have an active and influential role in society.
