Alec Featherstone

Locally born & bred in Farndale with a family heritage within Ryedale & the moors spanning several centuries. Having lived in Pickering for some time is now based at Malton.

After leaving Ryedale School and a spell working in farming, soon moved into an apprentership in carpentry that proceeded to become his livelihood running a modest business in the area for over 20 years.

No longer a sportsman, once cricketing for Edstone and footballing for Gillamoor to name just two. Now only competes to keep the local pubs low on good beer!

Having travelled to many areas of the world, notably Egypt and Israel, developed his in-built sense of fair play and empathy for downtrodden individuals.

Supporting the Liberal Club, as with many others, in a background roll of maintenance and bookkeeping helping keep this prominent property in reasonable condition.
